Thank you so much, muchas gracias, tack så hemskt mkt, för idag fick jag lära mig något nytt:
“Pumping over” (called remontage in French) is a technology used in the winery to increase extraction. Tack tusen tack, y salud! Mvh från Chile, Eduardo Martinez

Comment on The reinvention of German wines | Britt on Forbes by pradicatosaurus https://www.bkwine.com/features/wine-regions/reinvention-german-wines/#comment-213643 Sat, 23 Nov 2024 19:19:01 +0000 https://www.bkwine.com/?p=337212#comment-213643 I remember the wines from the Rhine Valley in 1976, and they were memorable for delicacy, distinctive varietal taste, and notably for not being above 8 or 9% ABV. Now they are all on an ABV par with wines, from eastern France, in many cases of the same variety, and have lost the distinctive character of those days – what a pity!
